  DIG BLUE | October 1st

Join us on October 1st at 6:00 PM for our annual Dig Blue Volleyball Game as we come together to honor the life and legacy of former BHS science teacher Ms. Lori Vaughn.

Ms. Vaughn was one of the strongest individuals we have ever known. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, she continued to show incredible strength, compassion, and dedication to the students she loved so dearly. Her impact on our school and our community will never be forgotten.

Lori had a special way of quietly helping others. She would pay student lunch balances, cover admission so students could attend ball games, and find countless other ways to make sure our students had what they needed. She never did it for recognition—she simply saw a need and helped.

Her legacy of kindness continues through the Lori Vaughn Foundation.

Since 2023, the Lori Vaughn Foundation has paid $7,350 in student lunch balances, helping ensure that students have access to meals without their families having to worry about an outstanding balance.

All proceeds from this year’s Dig Blue game will benefit the Lori Vaughn Foundation and its continued mission of supporting our students.

Come out, DIG BLUE, and help us celebrate an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend whose kindness continues to make a difference in the lives of our students.
